Oliver was a blenheim and white King Charlies Spaniel who was an absolute gorgeous boy to us all. He sadly died from a brain tumour aged 7 which we believe was caused by a kick to the head by a neighbour who didnt like him trying to visit his female doberman at his side garden gate a few doors up from us.
Ollie was a loving affectionate dog and loved anyone.
Unfortunately because of his amourous advances to this doberman, he had to have his tail docked due to it being shut in the gate by the neighbour whilst trying to get ollie out of his garden which snapped it in two. We could not prove these injuries were inflicted by this man but as Ollie was always escaping from our garden into his, we believed that was how it happened. There could have been no other explanation.
After several months Ollie began to walk sideways and couldnt hold his head up for long so after tests it was found he had a brain tumour, so my parents made the immediate decision to have him put to sleep and his ashes scattered on Egham Hill near Windsor. I was told he had gone by my dad via a phonecall that evening as i had moved out by then and my world came crashing down that day as i had never been able to say goodbye no matter how heartbreaking it would have been.
Ollie was our first family pet dog and we adored him from the day we got him at the age of just 8 weeks old. My mum and dad never bought another dog from then on as they didnt want to go through all that heartbreak again.
20 years on, and out of a long violent relationship, I now have two Staffordshire Bull Terriers who are my girls and one day i will have to go through that heartbreak twice over even though i had to experience it with my ex partners dog Tara back in 2005. But for now they are loved so much and have a good life and one day will meet Ollie and Tara in 'doggy heaven'.
You have never been forgotten Ollie by the whole family and we still talk of you often, so for now look after all my loved ones who have passed away until we meet again baby boy xxxx

The beautiful butterfly came dancing by,
Then she flew way up into the clear blue sky.
She was dancing and she was wonderful and proud
This my darling was surely a sign that you were around.
Her wings were made of pure white lace
She was flying free, she danced right past my face
Her beauty was so clear for all of us to see
I know she was a wonderful gift from you to me.
